Hoodied suspect seen leaving burglarized taco joint

June 21, 2008, 4:26 AM
Police responding to the burglar alarm at Zacatacos, 6224 Cermak, found the front glass door broken.  A witness told officers he saw a man exit the restaurant and flee northbound on foot; the witness described the suspect as a male Hispanic in his late teens, in a black hoodie and jeans, with a white “Ace"-type bandage on his right knee over his pants.

The offender pried open the cash register and damaged the officer door, apparently with a hammer.
