Hit-and-run car occupants seen chatting with cops minutes before

September 21, 2008, 12:20 AM
A man at 32nd and Kenilworth saw a white Chevy Suburban strike his Tahoe, breaking its mirror, before fleeing the scene.  The victim told police he saw the occupants of the Suburban talking to a police officer just minutes earlier, after police were called about a fight at the Windsor Lounge, Windsor and Grove.  Police realized that the offending vehicle belonged to a 23-year-old man from the 1900 block of Grove, but knew it was being driven by the owner’s friend, a man from the 1500 block of Grove.  A hit-and-run letter was sent.
