Berwyn Police Blotter

Histrionics subdued by Taser

November 9, 2007, 4:41 AM
Callers reported a man sitting on the train tracks near Wisconsin Avenue, screaming and crying.  While officers were on their way to the scene, dispatchers gave an update:  the guy was off the tracks and headed for an apartment in the 7100 block of Stanley—access to which had been forbidden him earlier.  The man was easily located, because he kept yelling a woman’s name.  He appeared intoxicated, and struggled against police trying to handcuff him.  A single Taser stun gained his compliance; he was charged with disorderly conduct.

Later, the man was also charged with theft and criminal trespass, complaints signed by his ex-girlfriend.
