A 60-year-old man told police he and a friend were walking in the 1200 block of Wenonah at 10 PM when a male on a bicycle approached them from the rear. The cyclist, he said, called out “Watch out for the bike!”, then got off the bike and placed it near the front steps of a house. Next, the man displayed a handgun, put it against the victim’s chest and demanded money. The victim said he had none. The offender then ripped a silver chain from the victim’s neck, inducing the victim to slap his face. The robber fled northbound on Wenonah on the small bicycle. The victim described the offender as a male black, 5/7”, slim, wearing a black jacket and a baseball cap. At the scene of the robbery, police found a two-color baseball cap on the ground. Written on the cap in ink were “Fontaine”, “Grand Daddy”, “Cocoa-red dog”, “Pud”, “Strawberry”, “much love” and so forth.
