Police stopped a Chevy 4-door in the 6200 block of Cermak because the thing was so loud it could be heard more than 300 feet away. Isn’t that, like, a football field? Driver John P. Slaughter, 49, of the 1600 block of Wenonah—described by police as grey-haired—was cited for the noise violation and issued a $500 ticket. The Chevy was impounded. Police discovered the entire back seat of the car had been removed in order to accommodate the very large amp and speakers that created the din.
