Berwyn Police Blotter
Grateful neighbors glad speeding cyclist stopped
May 22, 2007, 11:24 AM
A police sergeant stopped a white Yamaha motorcycle with expired plates speeding through the 1200 block of East alley. It was ridden by a 22-year-old man from that block. He got tickets for the expired plates and for driving with no license or insurance. The cycle was towed away. While the sergeant waited for the tow truck, he was approached by several neighbors who said they were happy about the arrest because the man had spent the previous 20 minutes racing up and down their alley at high speed.
