Disruption detainee makes toilet suicide try
June 5, 2008, 9:18 PM
Dispatchers sent police to McDonald’s, 7135 Roosevelt, on reports of a belligerent man screaming profanity at the staff. The man, who smelled of alcohol and appeared intoxicated, focused his screaming and swearing on the responding officer. The officer advised the man to lower his voice and avoid profanity. But Jason M. Robinson, 33, of the 6800 block of 13th, reportedly answered, “F@*& you, I will talk to anybody else I want to like this,” then approached the McDonald’s cashier and yelled, “Now, gimme my f@&#^$g cheeseburgers!” As the officer tried to take him into custody, Robinson resisted and took a swing at him. Once he was secured, it took two officers to get him inside the squad car because he kept sticking a leg out so the door wouldn’t shut. At the police station, it took five officers to remove Robinson from the squad and place him in the lockup. Inside the lockup, Robinson reportedly swore and threatened to spit on police. After he was placed in his cell, Robinson threatened suicide and kept placing his head in the toilet, so he was sent to MacNeal Hospital for an evaluation; he was later charged with disorderly conduct.
