Garage remains caved-in as it awaits county inspector

An officer patrolling the 3500 block of Euclid noticed that the roof of a garage had fallen in, with one wall collapsed into the backyard. Because of this, the alley-side wall was leaning into the alley. The homeowner told police the collapse began on June 19, but he is waiting until the Cook County asbestos inspection is done before he can have someone start the repairs.
