Gang-slogan-shouter on bicycle uses gun to threaten man’s life
August 19, 2007, 2:59 PM
A 25-year-old Cicero man told police he came out of the convenience store at East and 26th and was confronted by a ex-friend who lives in the 2700 block of Clarence, west side. The former friend, 27-year-old Erick Herrera, shouted gang slogans and insults at him, the victim said. When the victim tried to walk away, he said Herrera punched him twice in the right ear, then reached to his waistband for what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun. The offender stated that, next time he saw the victim, he would kill him; he then left the scene riding a black mountain bike, accompanied by two juveniles.
