Gang member tells police armed SUV-load of dudes threatened him

August 14, 2008, 10:47 PM
A 21-year-old man from the 7100 block of Windsor told police he was walking in the 7000 block of that street when a dark SUV approached him.  He heard someone in the vehicle yell, “Get that [n-word],” then saw a man jump out and run toward him holding a black handgun.  The victim fled eastward, then called police.  He said the SUV contained multiple passengers.  The victim described the driver as a male Hispanic in his 20s, dressed in a blue jersey and wearing glasses.  The gun-toter, he said, was a male Hispanic in his 20s, 5’8” and bald.

The victim, police noted, is himself a member of a well-known street gang.
