Berwyn Police Blotter

Gang loitering

May 25, 2007, 5:49 PM
When two men standing in the middle of 38th Street at Elmwood noticed police approaching, they started to walk away in different directions, but were stopped by the officers.  They were a 15-year-old boy and 23-year-old Balois Antunez of Cicero.  The juvenile had a pocket knife in his hand.  When asked why, he said he feared the man was going to jump him.  A patdown revealed a marijuana cigarette in the boy’s pocket, so he got a $100 possession ticket.  Antunez was charged with gang loitering; police had previously warned him not to hang around that area.
