Gang graffiti left on multiple properties

Graffiti was left on a garage door in the 1300 block of Wesley. More of the same—this, promoting a street gang whose name translates from Spanish as “The Race”—was scribbled on a garage in the 1500 block of Kenilworth. A garage door in the 1300 block of Clarence and a wall in the 1200 block of Oak Park were similarly defaced.
Very large graffiti—from 3 x 4 feet to 4 x 10 feet—was drawn with black marker on five garages in the 2200 block of East. More was found in the 6500 block of Cermak. Two more properties were defaced in the 3500 block of Highland, along with one in the 3500 block of Cuyler.
