Fugitive apprehended after glass-breaking disturbance

August 14, 2008, 9:57 PM
Police were dispatched to Harvey and 26th on reports of a disturbance and the sound of glass breaking; the subjects reportedly fled south on Harvey.  Officers saw four males at the scene, including Martin Solis, 19, of 7919 Cermak in North Riverside.  Solis was wanted on an active Illinois Dept. of Corrections warrant.  He was arrested and was to be held until IDOC’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit could come pick him up.  Three other males—ages 22, 18 and 13—were released.
