Ford Econoline thumps its way into impoundment

An officer in the 3700 block of Clarence reported hearing a clear and distinct “thumping” sound from the next block, which proved to be a white Ford Econoline van. Driver Robert J. English, 32, of the 3800 block of Euclid, refused to sign the documents police presented to him. The van was impounded for violating Berwyn’s noise ordinance. It was not the first time noise created problems for the van.*
