Berwyn Police Blotter

Fire started near TV

June 10, 2008, 9:02 PM
Neighbors called 911 when they saw smoke coming from a residence in the 3300 block of Kenilworth.  The tenants were not in the house, but their two dogs were.  One fireman was injured during the forced entry into the building.  Firemen extinguished the flames, which were confined to the living room near the big-screen TV.  Animal control took charge of the two dogs.  The tenants arrived on the scene; they had been away since 11 AM.  Police called for board-up, and contacted the landlord, Burr Ridge resident Wally Nowakoski.
