Berwyn Police Blotter
Drunken man thinks up fake name
April 26, 2007, wee hours
An officer saw a man walking down the Wisconsin-Wenonah alley in the 1300 block. As he approached, he could see the man was drinking beer and staggering. Slurring his words, he gave police a name that turned up as nonexistent. Back at the station, police fingerprinted the 27-year-old, who turned out to be a Berwyn resident from the 6900 block of Roosevelt. He also had active warrants from both Cook and DuPage counties. He got a disorderly conduct ticket for the public intoxication as well as one for attempted obstruction of justice (the initial fake name).
