Berwyn Police Blotter
Drunken man charged with domestic battery
May 17, 2007, 12:26 AM
A woman in the 3200 block of Clarence called police when her live-in boyfriend came home drunk and argumentative. Given his state and his history of violence, the 20-year-old woman asked police to remove the man, who left without incident. At 3 AM, however, he returned and pounded noisily on the rear door of the apartment building. When the woman refused him entry, he punched and broke the glass in the door. Glass struck both the woman the infant she held in her arms. The baby was unhurt, but the mother’s face was cut. Police caught up with the man a block away. He was charged with one count of domestic battery.
