Berwyn Police Blotter

Dog takes self shopping

April 24, 2008, 9:54 AM
Police came to Walgreens at Ogden and Oak Park on reports a dog had walked into the store, alone.  Tags from the Animal Welfare League showed the dog, a cream-colored male poodle, was recently adopted by a woman in the 1900 block of Clarence, a couple of miles north.  Police tried phoning, then knocking at the owner’s door, but ultimately had to take the dog to A-American veterinary for safekeeping. The owner was later given a ticket for allowing the dog to be at large.
