Disobeying signs; felony revoked license, suspended license, no license at all

May 1, 2008, 4:34 PM
A green Honda Accord was stopped in the 1900 block of East for doing 36 MPH in a 20 MPH zone. Driver Urbano Reyna, 24, of the 1600 block of East, told the officer he had no license.  Asked why, then, was he driving, Reyna told the officer his wife felt unwell.  A check of Reyna’s name showed his license had been revoked; DuPage County also had an active arrest warrant for him.  Reyna was charged with speeding, driving uninsured and felony aggravated driving with a revoked license. The Accord was impounded.

A white Buick was pulled over for disobeying the stop sign at 31st and East.  Driver Veronica M. Casillas, 32, of the 2800 block of north Monroe, Chicago, had a suspended license, and was ticketed for both offenses.  The car was impounded.

A white Chevy van disobeyed the “no left turn 4 to 6 PM” sign at Ogden and Maple.  Driver James R. Jackson, 36, of the 4800 block of west Arthur, Chicago, identified himself with a state ID rather than a license, probably because his license had expired on May 1st of 1998.  He was cited for both offenses.
