Berwyn Police Blotter

Depot Deli ticketed for after-hours activity

August 4, 2007, 4:14 AM
Police came to the Depot Deli, 6834 Windsor, after getting a call about the bar still being occupied.  Officers saw multiple patrons sitting at the bar, beer bottles on the bar, and a man at the bar drinking from a glass. An officer noticed the man slide his glass down the bar to a second man, who put it in the sink.  Police came in and found five patrons and the owner.  The owner said one was a friend of his and the others were DJs.  One DJ said they were conducting a meeting.  When questioned about after-hours drinking, the owner told police they would have to prove there was alcohol in the glass.  Police issued a local ordinance ticket for after hours sale/consumption of alcohol.
