The saw the make German Shepherd at large in the alley near the back gate of the property. Piles of dog feces could be seen in the back yard. Officers rang the doorbell several times. Finally, a small boy, about 5 years old, answered and told police his parents were not home. Just then, a car pulled into the driveway, driven by the dog’s owner. Police cited Marco Martinez, 34, for having a dog at large and for cruelty to animals; they also advised him to clean up the dog droppings in his yard. Martinez must appear in local ordinance court on October 11 and 3 PM in the Community Room of the police station.
