A business in the 3800 block of Harlem was found with its back door pried open.  A cashbox containing $1,000 was stolen.
8:54 AM
A red Nissan Pathfinder, parked by an apartment building in the 3300 block of Harlem, was found with a broken window.  When police reached the car’s owner, the owner said stolen items from the vehicle included a circular saw, a screw gun, batteries, and charger, as well as a dust buster.
8:57 AM
In the 1400 block of Harlem, a Ford Expedition with a broken rear window was found to be missing two iPods, a TV/radio/DVD/CD player valued at $2,000, and $800 worth of DVDs and CDs.
4:05 PM
In the 3700 block of Oak Park, a house found with a pried-open front door was missing a PlayStation II and a very large plasma TV valued at $2,500.
