Cicero car chase ends in Berwyn reckless-driving arrest

Berwyn police joined Cicero’s in pursuit of a silver Mercedes headed westbound on 26th; the car was observed at 30th and Home as it sped up, struck the curb and blew out its right front tire.  Police saw the driver flee on foot through a gangway at 29th and Home. The Mercedes had heavy front-end damage.  Nearby was a correspondingly-damaged parked Neon in the 6800 block of 30th. Police saw a woman passenger emerge from the Mercedes.  The woman, a resident of Lincolnwood, told police the Mercedes was hers and was driven by her boyfriend Daryl; however, she was unable to recall the man’s last name.  A K-9 officer located 24-year-old Daryl D. Brown of Catlett, VA.  Brown was charged with improper lane use, fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, no insurance and driving with a suspended license.
