Blown stop, speeding

July 3, 2008, 8:01 AM
A silver Cadillac Seville did not make a complete stop despite the posted stop sign at 16th and Wesley.  Driver Marshall E. Johnson, 38, of the 1200 block of south Central Park, Chicago, presented an Illinois state ID in lieu of the requested license and proof of insurance.  The car was impounded, and Johnson received tickets for disregarding the stop sign, no insurance and driving on a suspended license.

A grey GMC Yukon was stopped at Highland and 26th for doing 43 MPH in a 25 MPH zone.  Driver Alejandro Mata, 20, of Cicero, was cited for speeding, suspended plates and driving unlicensed.
