Berwyn Police Blotter

Block disturbance stems from elaborate domestic dispute, battery accusation

April 21, 2008, 9:17 PM
A woman in the 2700 block of Clarence flagged down police to complain that a Cicero woman of her acquaintance came over wanting money for cigarettes.  When the victim refused, she said, the Cicero woman attacked her and pulled her hair. Police spoke with the accused woman, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.  The accused also claimed the victim’s daughter owed her money for a vehicle. The victim wished to sign a battery complaint.  When asked for some ID, the Cicero woman displayed a debit MasterCard in the name of a Forest Park woman.  Police reached the owner of the card, who said she did not give permission for the Cicero woman to have the card in her possession.
