Berwyn woman charged with felony DUI in Riverside incident

Berwyn resident Jennifer A. Zegar, 39, faces a felony charge of DUI after an officer reported seeing her drive her white Lexus through a red light while eastbound on 31st Street at Desplaines Avenue in Riverside on Dec. 22 at 2:30 a.m. According to the report, Zegar’s license had been revoked in 1990 for a previous DUI conviction. She reportedly failed field sobriety tests and failed a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level to be .093. In addition to DUI, she was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle, disobeying a stoplight, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of open alcohol.
