Candy grab

The manager of Walgreen’s in Cermak plaza detained a woman after she was reportedly seen concealing candy in her purse. Police recovered 21 candy items from the woman. The manager told officers that the woman had been caught on previous occasions doing the same thing at the store, and that she was no longer welcome there. Micaela Mercado, 21, was charged with retail theft.
