After his arrest, Carlos passed out in the back of the squad car, so the ambulance was summoned to take him to the hospital. Carlos refused to speak with nurses at MacNeal Hospital. When he was returned to the Berwyn police booking department, he fell asleep once more, waking up long enough to refuse to cooperate with a breath analysis. Carlos was charged with felony aggravated DUI, felony aggravated driving on a revoked license, and felony driving uninsured, as well as DUI, improper lane use and no insurance. Carlos was found to be on probation, so police let the Illinois Department of Corrections know of the arrest.
