Woman wanted on prostitution rap comes equipped with crack, weed

April 2, 6:24 PM
An officer in the alley behind the 6200 block of Ogden saw a green Chevy pickup occupied by a woman while a man rummaged nearby in trash bins.  The man, 54-year-old Robert Ruzic of Downers Grove, said he was “junking” and had done so for three years.  However, he could not produce a Berwyn permit to collect refuse.  The woman passenger said her name was “Amy Liston”.  The officer could see a metal drug pipe in plain view on the front seat beside her, so he made “Amy”get out; he then recovered the pipe. The officer arrested her and told her to remove her shoes and turn her socks inside out.  When she did, three clear packets of a white chunky substance fell from her left sock.  At this, “Amy” took off running but was caught after a short foot chase A second officer arrived and she became combative; they had to stun her with a Taser to place her in custody.  When “Amy” was removed from the squadrol, an officer noticed marijuana scattered on the seat where she had been. Closer examination revealed a clear packet of crack cocaine tucked between the metal grid and glass of the cage.  The squadrol was taken out of service and the watch commander removed the drug bag.  “Amy” was finally identified as Anne Jesuit.  She had an active prostitution warrant from Cook County.  The substance in her sock and in the wagon tested positive for cocaine. Ruzic got a ticket for trashpicking without a permit; Anne Jesuit was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession.
